ROTTEN CADAVER HI JACKED REALITY HC3232 (2000) More info about this item
Portland hardcore punk mixing UK and Japanese sounds. Great cover artwork. On Black Water Records. Tony Bartek once handed me a copy of "hold up omnibus" 8" in Portland record store and said "I am a record wizard"
KAPYKAARTI S/T HC3231 (2000) More info about this item
Finnish punk, new on Bad Hair Life records, from the website... Slanted, rough-edged, angry Finnish punk rock with anarchistic lyrics. This is what Käpykaarti brings to the table. These guys have been doing this for many years, and it shows. Bling-bling rock stars, the Winter War fans and other bases of the society get their share of the old-timers' derision. Käpykaarti shout the facts and they do it loud!"
RYTMIHAIRIO SURMAN SIIPIEN HAVINAA HC3230 (2000) More info about this item
Self described "murder core" this band has kind of a cult following in Finland. I'd place these guys in the same realm as Infest or Drop Dead, as a band that took the speed, power and intensity of hardcore in the late 80's to the next level, but stopped just short of turning from a hardcore punk band into a grind band. Very cool and pretty overlooked out side Finland.
DISTURD ISOLATION HC3229 (2000) More info about this item
Japanese crust, has that slightly metallic crunch like SDS, later Antisect.
FINAL ASSAULT YLLATYUSHYOKKAYS HC3228 (2000) More info about this item
Another limited (to 150?) 7" from this Michigan HC/Punk band. Pummeling hc.
FINAL ASSAULT VIIMEINEN HC3227 (2000) More info about this item
Hardcore from Michigan in the Discharge/Varukers meets Swedish HC tradition of raw punk. One of two limited 7"s.
AXEGRINDER RISE OF THE SERPENT MEN HC3226 (2000) More info about this item
Svart Records re issue of this essential heavy crust classic.
THURNEMAN TEGELSTEN FOR TEGELSTEN HC3225 (2000) More info about this item
Swedish hardcore, this record came out a few years ago and I kept flipping by it in the box wondering why it wasn't selling, then I realized I'd never put it on my website, so if you missed it, here's your chance.
OFFENDERS I HATE MYSELF HC3224 (2000) More info about this item
Re issue of this classic 80's hardcore 7" from this under rated Texas hardcore band. Found a few of these at the record shop..
HHH SIN IDENTIDAD HC3223 (2000) More info about this item
Vinyl release of the demo of this mid 80's Spanish band. Raw and fast like L'arm, Pandemonium or Italian hardcore bands of the same era.
L ODI SOCIAL QUE PAGUI PUJOL HC3222 (2000) More info about this item
Mid 80's Spanish hc/punk sung in Catalan. I hadn't listened to this band in years, and I really enjoyed taking this Lp out and spinning it. Fast paced hardcore with good melodic hooks, strong vocals and lots of speed an energy. More melodic and polished than 80's Italian bands, but has the energy of a band like BGK or maybe early Seven Seconds. (that is to say it's HC/Punk and not poppy or anything)
MISERY FROM WHERE THE SUN NEVER SHINES HC3221 (2000) More info about this item
Double LP from long running local crust band Misery. Heavy crust like Amebix, Sacrilege, SDS with a few more melodic punk influenced tracks mixed in..
VOIVOD WAR AND PAIN HC3220 (2000) More info about this item
I don't want to get sidetracked and turn into a metal distro, because I know there's plenty of those out there, but I have stocked a handful of metal re issues lately mostly of records I was really into in the mid/late 80's when hardcore and metal were experiencing their now legendary "cross over" era. So when I got the chance to stock a vinyl re issue of this rager I jumped on it. Totally awesome raw, dark thrash metal from Montreal, this is a total classic of the speed/thrash genre and has a big hardcore punk influence present, likewise this bands heavy dark vibe was also an influence on some early crusty bands as well. Top shelf stuff, super raw and aggressive.
VARIOUS ARTISTS MASSACRE/SEKANNUS HC3219 (2000) More info about this item
These two Finnish hardcore bands released a split LP in the mid 1980s, then both reformed and did a split 7" in 2008 or so. Now they are back again with a second split LP 20+ years after their first. No disappointments, just solid Finnish hardcore punk from some veteran ragers. I wonder if they used the original amps like Abortti 13 did on their 7"?
RAYGUN SOTAMUISTOJA 1985-1995 HC3218 (2000) More info about this item
Discography of this Finnish hardcore band. Their 7" is a cult collector item, but this band is less known because they came around later in the 80's after the first wave of Finnish hardcore had blown over.
KONKURSSI S/T HC3217 (2000) More info about this item
You just can't loose with Finnish hardcore. Every few months a new band I didn't know in Finland puts out a 7" and it's almost always raging. If you love traditional Finnish hardcore with a bit of modern crusty hc influence, this one is right up your alley. Records liek this make waiting in line at the post office worthwhile.
FRONT LINE BASIC TRAINING HC3216 (2000) More info about this item
Unreleased 1982 demo from this Virginia hardcore band. Very good 82 style hardcore, you might remember these guys from the Master Tape comp. These are copies of the already out of print first pressing.
TERRIBLE FEELINGS BLANK HEADS HC3215 (2000) More info about this item
Euro import ep by this Swedish melodic punk band. Reminds me a lot of Vicious, Masshysteri, and some late 70's Swedish melodic punk bands. Really clean female vocals over melodic, haunting punk songs.
ACTIVE MINDS BURY THE PAST BUILD THE FUTURE HC3214 (2000) More info about this item
Latest 7" from this long running UK political punk band
GODORRHOEA ZEITGEIST HC3213 (2000) More info about this item
Late 80's UK band who sounds a lot like Rudimentary Peni, trebly bass guitar, spastic ranting vocals, kind of jerky compositions, really sounds a lot like RP all the way around.
