Recyled covers

There are only 50 of these limited Regulations on White vinyl, so I didn't have too many covers to make. I had a lot of leftover covers from the "When Hell Freezes Over" comp LP and decided to work with those. But chances are if you wanted to do something like this you wouldn't have much trouble finding a bunch of record covers. When we did the limited Holding On and DS 13 records, a local store happily let us have all the crap used records we could take provided we boxed them up and hauled them away ourselves. I think something like this would work good for a band doing a small pressing that couldn't afford to get LP sleeves printed, especially since Minimum order is 1000 at a lot of printers.

To start off with, I built this rack in my garage out of four sheets of plywood and some 2" strips of plywood. This took about a half hour to put together with a screw gun and I can line up just about 45 record covers on it for painting or drying. You could of course do this on any table or flat surface.
