How it was done: This was the first part of the four part “TCHC” series of 7”s. I was impressed with the number of good local hardcore bands and decided to release a series of 7”s to spotlight the up and coming new bands on the scene. I had the sheet metal shop cut out 800 pieces of 26 ga sheet metal to 7” square. Then I bought a metal stamping kit from an engine rebuilding place. Each letter had to be hand stamped with a big mallet. These took forever, but with most of them several band members helped out. As luck would have it some of the bands with the longest names had to be stamped into the metal. On the back of each release we stenciled T, C, H, or C. Damage Deposit Do Damage was letter T.
Where it was sold: Record Release show, damage deposit gigs for a few weeks after that.
